Strategies to drive gender equity in the workplace
With over ten years’ experience working in complex organisations, operating in challenging environments both nationally and FIFO roles off-shore, as a senior leader of productive people specialising in relationship/stakeholder management and culture. After completing my first degree, BA with double major in Media Communication and Public Relations at Deakin University, I was able to demonstrate my committed passion for developing an engaged and diverse workforce based around creating inclusive work environments that both educate and support our people and the wider communities in which we work.
To continue my own professional development I completed a MBA with the Australian Institute of Business and took the opportunity to gain additional career experience as an independent consultant to the NSW Government within their senior management team. I was responsible for driving a key change management project and developing business critical communication to transform organisational culture through improved collaboration, planning and performance metrics.
In 2018 I was excited to relocate back to Melbourne, VIC to accept the role as Principal – Diversity & Inclusion with Newcrest Mining Limited. Within the last 12 months I am very proud to have launched Newcrest’s first Diversity and Inclusion Strategy, embedded their first Indigenous Relation’s Policy and expanded the company approach to engage LGBTIQ community and well as greater cultural and religious diversity.
